Blues news is thin on the ground this morning as the players return home from a run of pre-season activity!
However, there are a couple of stories worthy of note, starting with confirmation from new signing Stevan Jovetic that he rejected interest from Serie A champions Juventus in order to join City.
“The Montenegro international moved to the Etihad Stadium from Fiorentina in July for a fee starting at €27 million but the Bianconeri tried their best to stop him from leaving Italy,” reports goal.com.
“Despite the alternative temptation, however, the forward says that he has settled in quickly to his new surroundings.”
Jovetic said: “Yes, Juventus did want me. They talked with my agent. Actually they talked a lot more with him than with me."
"Coming to Manchester has been easy. The lads have been really helpful -mainly [Matija] Nastasic, [Aleksandar] Kolarov and [Edin] Dzeko but the others as well.”
Finally, as development at the City Football Academy continues apace, an article from Bleacher Report, shining some light on City’s young talent, is well worth a read.
