Sergio Aguero says he’s enjoying life under new boss Manuel Pellegrini and predicts the Chilean will do well at City.

In an exclusive interview with talkSport, the Argentine also talked about the new style of play under Pellegrini and the arrival of four new players.

“It’s still very early in the season, and not everything went to plan in last Sunday’s 3-2 reversal in Cardiff – but, based on City’s display against Newcastle, that South American style is going down well at the Etihad,” writes Lee Roden.

“As are the arrivals of Jesús Navas and Fernandinho. Their introduction, coupled with the new-found competitiveness they bring to the squad will, Aguero believes, help City challenge on all fronts this season.”

Aguero said: “I think we reinforced well. They will certainly give a lot to the club. I think there is a really good level here in order to compete for the Premier League, the Champions League and the other cups.

“I hope we continue in the way we started, and we’ll see at the end of the year how everything goes.”

Elsewhere, the Mirror comment on news we brought you yesterday of Matij Nastasic’s return to the fold following an ankle injury sustained in pre-season.

“The return of Nastasic - who has been out since suffering an ankle injury in Hong Kong in pre-season - is a huge boost ahead of the visit of Hull,” writes David McDonnell.

“Pellegrini is trying to sign another defender before the transfer deadline, with Atletico Madrid's Martin Demichelis and Valencia's Adil Rami among his targets.”

Remember, we’ll be first to confirm any transfer rumours you may come across in the coming days!
