There’s no prizes for guessing that the Mario Balotelli story is still top of the agenda across this morning’s media outlets.
According to this morning’s Guardian, the City striker could leave City for AC Milan this week.
“Mario Balotelli's Manchester City future could be decided this week, with talks expected between the champions and Milan on Monday,” reports the paper’s Jamie Jackson.
“City are said to want £31m for the striker but the fee may end up nearer to the £24m he cost them from Internazionale in the summer of 2010.
“If the clubs fail to agree a price, there is an outside chance of a loan move which would see the striker at San Siro for the remainder of the season.”
Elsewhere, The Independent claims Carlos Tevez will not seek a new contract with the Blues when his current deal expires next year.
“Speaking to the media in Argentina, Tevez said that he would have preferred to be playing for Boca Juniors against River Plate rather than facing Fulham on Saturday and that he plans to return home in the summer of 2014,” writes Tim Rich.
“Playing for Boca Juniors, where he began his career as a 16-year-old, would have obvious appeal for Tevez, who turns 29 next month.”
‘"I have a year left on my contract and Manchester City want to sign me for two more seasons,"’ he said. ‘"However, Boca's president has said the door is always open for me to rejoin them and I'm dying to pull their shirt on once more.”’
