With just a fortnight to go until the transfer window slams shut until the summer, we’re finally starting to see a good batch of rumours linking City with additions to the squad.

A new name suggested as an option for the Premier League champions is Quintero who has revealed that it is his dream to play for either Manchester club – or Milan, or Juventus, or Inter…

The Columbian starlet is on loan from Atletico Nacional at Pescara and it’s thought that the 19-year old would cost around £8m.

He told Gazzetta Dello Sport: "I like Inter because there are a lot of South Americans and I like Italy, but it's obvious, I won't say no to other top teams.

“I dream Milan, Juventus, Manchester. I will choose with my family and my agent. I'm fine at Pescara, I like the fans and there my child Maria Josè was born.

"My favourite role is trequartista, but I have to grow and keep working. My idol is Rivaldo. When I was kid I always wanted to see him playing at Barcelona, Milan and Olympiakos."

In a more familiar link, City has again been suggested as a likely destination for Borussia Dortmund’s defensive duo Mats Hummels and Neven Subotic, as Daily Express writer Charles Perrin believes that Manchester United’s interest has cooled in the pair.

“Roberto Mancini is still worried about the soft goals City are conceding, as they try to chase down United in the title race,” writes Perrin.

“Hummels appears to be keen on a move to the Premier League, having originally said: ‘One day I will say that I am keen on a transfer.

“’To play football in a new country would be flattering. I already had offers and one enquiry from these offers was really one of interest for me.’”

Elsewhere, TalkSport believe that the Blues could bring in Stevan Jovetic from Serie A side Fiorentina.

“Manchester City have yet to make any movement in the winter transfer window, but there have been plenty of big names linked with a move to the Etihad,” the article reads.

“One such talent is Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic, who may be beginning to feel the heat in Italy after his club signed Giuseppe Rossi.”

The photo slideshow of targets goes on to link City with every striker with three syllables in their name under the sun, so perhaps best to take that one with a pinch of salt.

Finally, Jack Rodwell has made changes to his lifestyle in order to put an injury hampered season behind him – as revealed in an interview with Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News.

“You have to rule everything out. I have changed my pillow and other silly stuff, but that’s part and parcel of being a footballer,” he said.

“I changed my car completely – I was in a sports car and changed to a Jeep which is more stable for the back and doesn’t put too much stress on it.

“I am also about 10 minutes drive from training now so don’t spend a lot of time in the car. I used to feel a little bit stiff. I moved so I don’t have to drive for too long to get there in the morning.

“I have also started doing yoga. A lot of people said the same happened for Ryan Giggs, that throughout his youth he got a lot of hamstrings. He started yoga, and so have I. I am just trying to do everything right.”
