The papers are, understandably, largely concentrating on yesterday evening’s club statement with various opinions and comment.
The transfer rumours, however, continue to take up plenty of column inches, too with City allegedly leading the chase to grab Arjen Robben from Bayern Munich.
The Dutch star has made just 15 league appearances for the German giants this season, and there are now reports that the 29-year-old could seek to move on in the summer.
Website sportsmole.co.uk reports: “According to Spanish publication Sport City are ready to offer £17m for the 29-year-old former Chelsea forward, with Galatasaray and Juventus also interested in a summer deal.
“Bayern have already signed playmaker Mario Gotze for next season and with Franck Ribery close to a new contract Robben's long-term future at the Allianz Arena remains open for speculation.”
Meanwhile, City have completed another scouting mission on Roma’s Erik Lamela, according to the Daily Express.
The Argentine has been repeatedly linked with the Blues, and today’s reports indicate that City are prepared to increase their original offer.
Charles Perrin writes: “The Citizens as we originally reported made an opening offer of £18.5m for Lamela, but this was rejected.
“And now it seems they have done another check on Lamela, as they look to up their offer.
“Italian paper La Gazzetta della Sport ascertains City are planning to test Roma's resolve by readying a £25.4m bid for Lamela.”
