Thousands of sports personalities and fans recreating City’s trademark celebration on live TV was yesterday’s second most watched video on the BBC.

Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero were welcomed on stage by the audience doing the Poznan at the Sports Personality of the Year Awards on Sunday night as the Blues’ incredible title win was remembered.

Elsewhere this morning, according to The Express, the Blues have been linked with Argentine midfielder Ezequiel Cirigliano.

“Manchester City are looking to tie up a move for the highly-rated River Plate player,” claims Charles Perrin.

“The 20-year-old, who operates as a defensive midfielder, has been a long-term target for City as they look to beef up in that department.

“With question marks raised over Javi Garcia and with Yaya Toure off to the Africa Cup of Nations in January, Cirigliano could be just what City are looking for.”

Elsewhere, The Guardian report that City defender Joleon Lescott may say goodbye to The Etihad in January.

“Lescott is fourth-choice under Mancini – behind Vincent Kompany, Matija Nastasic and Kolo Touré – despite being a regular in the England squad, with the 30-year-old having started only seven league games this season,” writes the paper’s Jamie Jackson.

“Touré is now Mancini's choice as a substitute in the match-day squad due to the Italian's preference for a right-sided central defender should Kompany or Nastasic be injured.

“Although Lescott is determined to fight for his place he is keen to play and maintain his status as a regular member of Roy Hodgson's England squad and so is prepared to move should he feel the need to, with his former club Everton heading the list of potential suitors.”

Remember, we here at mcfc.co.uk will be first to confirm any movements in or out of the club this winter.
