Son of former City midfielder Kevin Glendon, George has already achieved a lot since joining the Academy. With his lineage, it’s little surprise that this talented youngster is a devoted City fan.

A diminutive, deceptively strong midfielder, capable of weighing in with vital goals, Glendon has represented England at under-16 and under-17 level, as well as enjoying a taste of continental football in last season’s EDS team for the NextGen Series.

The tireless Manchester-born player starred in City’s successful AIFJC2012 tournament triumph in Abu Dhabi, playing a key role in their final win over Inter Milan.

George attended Kingsway School in Cheadle, making him one of a growing crop of local boys in this season’s under-18s team.
